Box Lacrosse

General Information
The Box Lacrosse season runs from late March through to mid June. Provincials are held in early July in various provincial locations. Games and practices are held at the Mission Leisure Centre Arena and if the weather is favorable, in the Mission outdoor box facility (secondary location TBD).

Teams will have two practices per week, one in the Mission Leisure Center arena and one in the outdoor box. Teams will also have two games per week, one home and one away game. Away games are played within the Lower Mainland. Tournaments are also held in various provincial districts, these are attended upon the teams' decision to enter using their teams fees to pay for entrance.

Registration

  • KidSport™ funding application for those who require financial assistance in order to play. This option is ONLY available to those that are going to use it. Please do not choose sponsorship if you are not going to be sponsored.

  • When paying by e-transfer, please indicate which player you are paying for in the comments section of the EFT.

  • Photocopy of birth certificate & care card number are required to be uploaded for all players before they are consitered registered.

  • Per the new Lower Mainland Commission operating policy Proof of Residency is required at registration by all players. This could be in the form of your phone bill, hydro bill, tax notice etc.

  • Tax Receipt – we will no longer be issuing manual receipts, please refer to the confirmation email you receive after online registration.

  • Fees include team shorts that players keep.

  • Discounts: Regular price for oldest child, $20 off for each additional child. - You will be required to enter a discount code when registering siblings to be able to receive the sibling discount.

    Codes are 1STSIB / 2NDSIB / 3RDSIB ( DO NOT add code for the FIRST player you register, enter code for 2nd, 3rd, etc. siblings)

  • A $30 parent social fundraiser fee is included in the registration.

  • Please note that tryouts and/or waitlists may apply in some divisions. However, it is our goal to get every registrant on a team.

U7

  • Helmet with Face Shield - both CSA approved.

  • Shoulder Pads / Chest Protector

  • Gloves - Hockey gloves are okay.

  • Protective Cup - Jock or Jill.

  • Mouth guard ("boil & bite" are acceptable).

  • Elbow Pads (recommended).

  • Knee Pads (recommended).

  • Junior Canadian Lacrosse Stick

U9

  • Helmet with Face Shield - both CSA approved.

  • Shoulder Pads / Chest Protector

  • Gloves - Hockey gloves are okay.

  • Protective Cup - Jock or Jill

  • Mouth guard (“boil & bite” are acceptable).

  • Knee Pads (recommended, not mandatory).

  • Arm slash guards (recommended, not mandatory).

  • Kidney/rib/back slash guards (mandatory).

  • Lacrosse Stick with a minimum length of 36 inches.

U11
